Let’s Ring in 2019!
Happy New Year Glameleons! It’s officially been a year since the idea of Glameleon was birthed. I’m ringing in 2019 with the intention of posting my musings to Glameleon on a more frequent basis! So many ideas are constantly floating around in my head but need to dedicate the time required to get the ideas on paper. 2019 is the perfect year to make this happen. I just said, “thank you!” LOL. 2018 was an incredible year for me…On 2 December 2018, the most wonderful man on the planet asked me to be his wife! It was a beautiful proposal that came as a complete surprise to me. I was…

So Figgin Amazing
“Well there are a lot of things I like to eat but at this time of year I’m finding I’m making fig and chèvre salad at least once a week and that’s a combo that’s hard to beat.” ~ Karen Walker Okay, so I’m intuperting this quote as Karen Walker from Will and Grace…If I’m quoting the wrong Karen, I stand corrected. I picked this quote to start the post with because the tone resonated with what I want to say. If something tastes good to you, that food should always be in your arsenal of tasty go-to foods. Along with guacamole, the following snack is always at my fingertips…

Review: e.l.f Beauty Shield Recharging Magnetic Mask
Oh, the irony! This mask has a magnetic personality. While perusing the beauty isles of my local Target I stumbled across e.l.f’s Beauty Shield Mask Kit. Like a siren beckoning, the shiny holographic packaging called, and in my cart it went without any knowledge of the product. Being an eternal optimist I assumed the risk and committed to the hope of this being a $24 jewel. In the back of my mind I was also leary that this could be a glitter turd…crap wrapped up in a nice package. Sidebar… When I got home I put away the remaining $100 worth of purchases. Which by the way, the intent of my trip…

Glameleon Winter Playlist 2017 / 2018
“You will be too much for some people. Those aren’t your people.” – Glennon Melton Hey, oh! Oh, man, I don’t know about you, but I can totally relate to the Melton quote! Anyhow, this is the Glameleon Winter Playlist for 2018. Noteworthy on this list is new music from the bands and artist/s – First Aid Kit, Joseph, Loma and Lucy Dacus. The only song missing from the playlist is TR/ST’s latest single “Destroyer”. At the time of this post, the Destroyer single is not yet on Spotify. Fret not my dears, for your viewing pleasure, linked below after the playlist and commentary is this magical video. Creative nervous energy – Somehow,…

Glameleon Summer Playlist 2017
Summer Playlist 2017, is both my favorite but saddest curations. At the start of the Summer quarter, 1 June, 2017, my dad unexpectedly died. It is the single most difficult thing I’ve ever experienced. I’ll write about the experience at a later date as it’s still too difficult for me to talk about without turning into a sobbing mess. This list represents the week leading up to his passing and the 3 months following his death. The playlist itself isn’t too sad, it consists of songs I found comfort in during this period. During and after his passing I felt numb, profound sadness, and infuriated…sometimes all within a span of a…

Spring Playlist 2017
Those Who Dance Are Considered Insane by Those Who Can’t Hear the Music -Nietzsche Hello! Ahh, spring, I love spring! After a long winter it is nice to finally see the sun, flower, people outside and trees with leaves. Spring 2017 was particularly exciting for me because it was my first trip to Coachella Arts and Music Festival. I try to do at least one big festival a year and 2017 was my Coachella year. Festivals are one of my favorite things. I love to dance! My personal brand of dancing consists of me jumping up and down, clapping my hands and flailing my arms. I’m certain that I look…

Fall Playlist 2016
“Music is amazing. There’s some metaphysical comfort where it allows you to be isolated and alone while telling you that you are not alone.” — Wayne Coyne Music evokes a mind memory of refreshing sounds tied to events…Music is truly the universal emotive language. Being a human and someone with a heart and soul, I LOVE music. I listen to music at least 12 hours a day. How do you relate to music? Within you, does music evoke emotion?… Yes? That is fantastic, I’ve heard that music also makes Stevie Wonder! You are welcome! Moving forward… As my day begins, I’m wake to the music I turned on when I…
